MORINGA SEED WHOLE
BOTANICAL NAME: Moringa olefera
COUNTRY OF ORIGIN: INDIA
Moringa oleifera has also been called the horseradish tree and is widely considered a miracle plant, as all parts of the tree can be used for something. It originates from India, but has been cultivated in many countries historically to help with agriculture and nutrition. The Moringa leaves have a high nutritional content, and as such have been added for thousands of years to the diets of the peoples where the trees have been cultivated. Organizations such as Trees for Life and Educational Concerns for Hunger Organization (ECHO), which encourage cultivation of this tree in populations high in malnutrition and poverty, have taken an interest in this plant in recent history, and have begun encouraging its cultivation to promote sustainability both in building supply, but in edible crops. Historically the leaves have been considered one of the most nutritious options in the world for women and developing children.
